The PRIMA research project held its annual meeting at KolleKolle, Værløse Denmark, 27-28 August 2025.
Representatives from each partner presented the current research and latest results from baseline studies and interventions. The participants discussed research outcomes and planned an open PRIMA meeting for 2026 to disseminate project results.
The annual meeting had a special guest, Frederik Bäckhed, Professor, Technical University of Denmark and University of Gothenburg. Prof. Bäckhed presented ‘The gut microbiome in cardiometabolic disease’. Prof. Bäckhed is also the Coordinator of the Microbiome Health Initiative, a Novo Nordisk Foundation funded project.
PRIMA (towards Personalized dietary Recommendations based on the Interaction between diet, Microbiome and Abiotic conditions in the gut) is a Challenge Grant funded by the Novo Nordisk Fonden.
